What is an EPC ?

The EPC is an Energy Performance Certificate, this has been introduced in England and Wales by the British Government in 2007 on all domestic dwellings which are marketed privately or through an Estate Agent, the EPC is one of the required documents in the HIP.

The EPC rates the property from 1- 100, 100 being the best possible rating. The numeric rating is displayed by means of a visual display and this is shown alphabetically.

The report will have recommendations on how the home owner can improve the energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of their house.

Only qualified Domestic Energy Assessors & Home Inspectors are allowed to carry out the inspections.
